TORRI X-CORE² the new frontier of safety in photovoltaics
At the Mille Miglia Museum in Brescia, before 150 partner installers, Torri Solare presented the new patented X-CORE² technology.
In the technological evolution of the photovoltaic sector, Torri Solare is racing ahead. The choice of the Mille Miglia Museum is fitting to present the new patented X-CORE² technology to 150 partner installers of the Brescia-based company led by Michele Torri. The “by Torri Solare” technology is protected by an industrial invention patent application, design and three-dimensional trademark.
The features. In developing X-CORE², Torri Solare focused on robustness. In photovoltaic panels, a crucial aspect is the structural fragility of most modules on the market today.
The critical issue. According to Clean Energy Associates data (CEA, 2024), 76% of inspected systems show complex fractures of the silicon cells: defects invisible to the naked eye but capable of generating hotspots, performance losses and, over time, fire risks. The main cause of microfractures is footfall during installation and maintenance.
The solution. Torri Solare developed X-CORE² technology, currently the only solution that exploits the panel's “slab effect” thanks to a special profile with a polymer insert. The results are extraordinary: more than 75% less concentrated load, load redistribution 5 times better. This translates into the “Unica” warranty: 10 years' coverage for footfall damage during installation, 10 years for hail damage, 10 years on replacement costs.
Overwhelming success: 2.5 megawatts placed in pre-sale
«With X-CORE² – explains Michele Torri, founder and head of the company – we focused on construction solidity, developing a patented frame that makes the module walkable and able to withstand high loads without compromising the integrity of the silicon». Already with Prisma 4.0 technology, Torri had redefined resistance standards: panels eight times more robust against hail, three times more resistant to accidental impacts and able to withstand up to 750 kg/sqm of snow load.
The new module was previewed at the Mille Miglia Museum in Brescia, obtaining an immediate response from the sales network. «In just a few days we collected a pre-sale of 2.5 megawatts, for a product that will be delivered from February 2026». Today Torri Solare records an 85% growth in turnover, balanced between the residential and industrial segments.
