Thermography

Detects the module's thermal behaviour: it highlights hot spots and inactive areas that overheat. It shows the symptoms of malfunction but does not identify its cause (factory, transport, installation or maintenance).

Static Robustness Index.

Robustness index of the photovoltaic panel. It expresses the amount of material placed between the external environment and the silicon.

The weight-to-power ratio must be further related by highlighting the front material. It is from the front that, over the years, the photovoltaic panel is stressed by external agents, weather or mechanical, e.g. operators during installation and maintenance.

Scientific background

IRS is born from scientific research.

The Static Robustness Index draws on serious, peer-reviewed scientific studies on the relationship between mass, front material and module surface. The robustness of TORRI products is studied and validated in research centres, not left to chance.

International research confirms that increasing the material protecting the silicon is the way to more durable and safe modules: this is the principle on which the IRS is based.
